CONNECT
Build stronger, high-performing teams
Powered by Belbin Team Roles, CONNECT helps teams understand how they work together, strengthen relationships, and improve performance through trust, communication, and shared accountability.
At the core of the programme is team awareness- helping individuals understand their natural strengths and how these contribute to the wider team. Using the Belbin model, teams develop a shared language to improve collaboration, reduce friction, and maximise collective performance.

How CONNECT works
CONNECT is delivered through an initial discovery process and four interactive workshops, structured around our development journey:
Our development journey
DISCOVER (Pre-work)
Team Diagnostic
Understanding team strengths and setting the foundation for performance
Before the workshops begin, participants complete their Belbin Team Roles profiles alongside a team diagnostic. We also engage with the team to understand their context, challenges, and goals, ensuring the programme is tailored to their needs. This stage builds a clear picture of individual strengths, team dynamics, and opportunities for growth.
Workshop 1: AWARE
Individual Strengths
Understanding strengths, team roles, and how teams develop

High-performing teams begin with a shared understanding of who they are and how they work together. Participants explore their strengths, challenges, and preferred ways of contributing, while gaining insight into how teams develop over time. Through Belbin Team Roles and team development frameworks, this session creates a common language for collaboration and helps the team identify what is needed to move towards higher levels of performance.
Workshop 2: RELATE
Trust & Collaboration
Building trust, collaboration, and psychological safety

Strong teams are built on trust, communication, and mutual understanding. This session explores how team members create psychological safety, communicate effectively, and appreciate different perspectives. Participants develop practical approaches to strengthening collaboration, building trust, and creating an environment where people feel valued, supported, and able to contribute at their best.
Workshop 3: DEVELOP
Conflict & Challenge
Navigating challenge, accountability, and team dynamics

Every team faces challenge, pressure, and differing viewpoints. This session helps teams develop the confidence and capability to address issues constructively, embrace healthy challenge, and maintain performance when things become difficult. Participants explore how team dynamics influence results, learn how to give and receive feedback effectively, and use the GSD framework to strengthen accountability, decision-making, and collective ownership.
Workshop 4: ACT
Habits & Accountability
Creating alignment, shared ownership, and sustainable performance

The final workshop focuses on turning insight into action. Teams explore the environment, behaviours, values, and beliefs that shape performance and identify what is needed to achieve their goals. Through shared commitments and clear ways of working, participants align around a common purpose and create sustainable habits that support long-term success and team effectiveness.
SHARE (Final Stage- Strengthening Team Accountability)
Reflection & Commitments
Reflecting, celebrating, and committing to ongoing success

Teams reflect on their journey, celebrate progress, and share the commitments they will take forward. Through open discussion and collective reflection, participants reinforce accountability, strengthen ownership, and create a shared vision for continued success. This final stage ensures that learning translates into meaningful improvements in team performance, collaboration, and results.
Why it works
Belbin provides a practical framework for understanding how individuals contribute to a team. We use this insight to drive real behavioural change, helping teams improve how they work together every day.
Who CONNECT is for
CONNECT is designed for teams who want to strengthen how they work together and improve performance. It’s ideal for:
- Leadership and executive teams
- Functional and cross-functional teams
- Project teams working in complex or fast-changing environments
- New or restructured teams who need to build trust quickly
Whether your team is newly formed or long-established, CONNECT helps you build the trust, clarity, and shared habits needed for high performance.
Belbin Team Roles
Belbin Team Roles is a practical framework that helps teams understand how individuals contribute and work together. It identifies nine different team roles- each representing a set of strengths, behaviours, and ways of adding value. Rather than focusing on job titles, Belbin looks at how people naturally operate within a team.
Through an individual Belbin profile, participants gain:
- A clear understanding of their strengths and preferred roles
- Insight into how they contribute to team performance
- Awareness of potential blind spots and allowable weaknesses
We bring Belbin to life through real team applicatio- helping individuals understand each other better, improve collaboration, and create more balanced, high-performing teams.
